How we verify information, source it, correct it, and keep it useful a year from now.
How we verify information
Every claim is graded on a Confidence Level (Verified · Strong evidence · Developing · Pending verification · Archived · Superseded) and cites a Citation Registry entry, a Field Report, or a build-time count. Unsourced superlatives are not published.
Sources policy
We prefer Official Records, then Primary Evidence, then Direct Observation, then Secondary Sources, then Community Reports — in that order. The Evidence Ladder is shown on every Field Report.
Corrections policy
Every change is recorded in the public corrections log with date, what changed, and why. A trust ribbon citing a Field Report that has been Archived or Superseded is invalid and removed at build.
Update policy
Every publication is reviewed at least every 12 months. The Verified Quality Badge on the colophon carries the edition number and the last reviewed month.
Anonymisation
Field Reports are anonymized at submission using the Anonymisation Worksheet (CRS-W-410). Parcel, jurisdiction, applicant, and neighbor names are replaced with descriptive types.
Privacy
The site stores reader work product on the reader's device. Private to this device, with no account required. Sharing happens through Evidence Bundles — neighbor to neighbor, never through a server (Bylaw 27).
Publication archive
Superseded publications remain on the site, marked as such, so older printed copies can still be located.
