The brief

For neighbours who need the situation in five minutes.

What is happening. Someone has proposed a change to land near you — a project, a permit, a rezoning, or a hearing. The decision will be made in a meeting, on a record, by people with names and addresses.

Why it matters. Once the record closes, the decision is much harder to influence. The window that matters is now.

What you can do tonight. Read this page. Decide if it matters enough to ask for documents, attend a hearing, or host neighbours on your porch.

What success looks like. You can explain the situation to a neighbour in two sentences and you know who to ask if you want more.

Next, if it matters:

  • Open the Hearing Packet (CRS-P-205) and prepare three minutes of remarks.
  • Open the Community Meeting Packet (CRS-P-210) and invite neighbours.
  • File a Public Records Request to confirm the facts.
